Where did Text Box Resizing go???

Recently the ability to resize a text box in Adobe Illustrator has disappeared. I do not need to change the proportion and size of the text. I need to add more text to a text box and alter/resize the text box.  I've tried all the old tricks on the internet, but cannot find anything recent.

Please help! I'm about to lose my mind over this change. This is why I do not like a web-based application that is updated all the time....things disappear with no warning or change locations with no bread crumb trail.

Also don't like having to hit "E" to change things. Another feature that was changed overnight.
