Where is scale tool in Illustrator 2021?

HI
I can't seem to find the scale icon on the tools palette on the left side! It's gone. I can access it from drop down but heck... what happened to the tools?

Also it took me 7 + hours today to get any adobe software to work. What a day.

Sounds like you're looking at the Toolbar while it's set to Basic?

Check to see if you need to change it to Advanced.

Thanks. The new default toolbar is missing too many things! set it back to 'essential classic;
