Question

White border in PNG placed in Illustrator

Hello,

I have that issue where I've placed a PNG photo on Illustrator for a business card design and there's a white border appearing in it only when placed.

The border is not present in Photoshop when I isolated the subject from its background. See photos below for comparison.

Screenshot of a part of the file on photoshop on a black background on a seperate layer before saving:

Below it's the file I exported in PNG with transparent background placed on a dark background on Illustrator:

The most surprising is that it's not even present on the whole subject... However, due to censoring, I cannot post the whole photo.

Has someone encountered this problem and has a solution for this please?

You mean the seam along the edge?

WHich document color mode the the business card in Illustrator? It could just be somewhat more apparent in CMYK mode. ALso: make a test print to see if it's noticeable

Along the seam of the subject.

The business card document is in CMYK. I converted it to RGB but the white border is still there.

I don't own a printer at home, I will try printing outside and revert back.

Thank you for your suggestion!
