Why can we no longer turn off rich tool tips in Iluustrator?

Title says it all: what could possibly possess the devs to FORCE those gawdaful rich tool tips on the user?

 

I DO NOT NEED YOUR HELP NOR DO I CARE ABOUT YOUR NEW FEATURES - I'VE GOT BLODDY WORK TO DO AND TURNING OFF YOUR DUMB POP-UPS EFFECT MY PRODUCTIVITY!

 

Pleas explain why it is no longer possible to turn them off.
