Why is my illustrator file saving with a number "2" icon next to file name on Google Drive?

When I click details on my .ai files in Google Drive, the file type is POSTSCRIPT and not ILLUSTRATOR.

Also, there is a weird "2" icon next to the file name. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

There have been issues with synched drives in the past.

So you might consider saving elsewhere and moving to your Googledrive afterwards.

Apart from that: are there perhaps incremental saving options running in your Googledrive?

The thing is, it only affects some files and not others. It saves with a large 2 instead of the normal preview icon. It's driving me CRAZY, I asked google support and they have no idea why it's doing that. i'm not doing anything out of the normal. I just don't understand...
