Why is my object moving more than It should be?

I need help in why my object is moving more than 1/2 inch. I am specifying the correct amount and I have no fill. Here is several screen shots of what I am performing.

Yes, I am working in a large canva. I fixed the problem. The canvas was quite large and my object was quite small. I enlarged my object now the transform is the correct dimension. Thank you for responding. But I just need to be patient with myself as I learn this stuff. But thanks again for being there with me learning this.

Do you have snapping functions on in your View Menu like Snap to pixel/grid?

You are zoomed in quite a lot, are you working in a Large Canvas Size document?

If you copy your element into a new document based on Art & Illustration, does it still happen?

Yes, I am working in a large canva. I fixed the problem. The canvas was quite large and my object was quite small. I enlarged my object now the transform is the correct dimension.
