@phu_nguyen_0529 wow, that’s like a magic eraser!  I do like the idea where @Ton Frederiks  is going with, that’s the first thing I would do. The second is restarting the MAC as well.

This happens when you are opening your cloud file, what happens if it’s a local file from your computer? Same issue?

I restarted Illustrator and my laptop a couple of times, but the problem is still there, so I had to copy all of my artwork and objects in that file into the new one. Only that way did everything go back to normal in the new file, but it's still broken in the old one. It’s like the file is broken, not the application. Also, as I replied to Ton, the file is only broken whenever I import my photo in, which is only about 564 KB, and only that specific photo. And yep, same issue on the cloud and local file.

    Hello @phu_nguyen_0529

Thanks for confirming what worked for you. Would it be possible for you to share the affected file and the photo you’re having trouble with so we can check it on our end?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Does switching to CPU Preview (Cmd E) )help?

You can also try to reset your preferences:  https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/troubleshoot-preference-issues.html

I already tried it a few times, but it's still broken. Then I recovered the file by copying and pasting it into a new file. Also, I figured out that this issue happens only when I import my photo, but my photo is only 564KB

@phu_nguyen_0529 What kind of image is causing the problem? Jpeg, PSD, PNG?

    Does resaving in Photoshop help?
