With the new update, I lost my dock for essentials.

The new update caused my dock to disappear. If I switch to essentials classic I get a different dock, is there a way to turn the dock back on for essentials?

YES!! that helped! it was the control panel. I'm new using this so losing that and not knowing what happen was very frustrating lol. Thank you so much!!

You're welcome.

Give the Properties panel a try as well. It doesn't have all of the control panel's features, but it has some useful others that the control panel doesn't have.

Sorry, I didn't realize that. I'm using the latest version of adobe illustrator 22.0.0

The new Essentials panel is context sensitive, but if you don't like it, go to the Workspace Switcher and change to Essentials Classic to get back the old panels.
