Won’t let me save new documents

Hi everyone. I've been having an issue in Illustrator recently where it will not let me finish saving a file. It also does not let me open older files that I have. How am I able to fix this? Thank you.

Is your Adobe Cloud app up & running without errors?

 

OOBE RESET MAC

  1. Quit the Creative Cloud desktop app  (100% you must do this)
  2. The \Users\<user folder>\Library\ is hidden by default for macOS 10.7 and above. Option click on the GO in the mac finder to reveal the Library folder.
  3. /Users/<user folder>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
  4. Delete all the files within the OOBE folder, but do not delete the folder itself.



OOBE RESET WIN

Quit the Creative Cloud desktop app  (100% you must do this)

C:\Users\<user folder>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE 

The AppData folder is hidden in Windows by default. See Show hidden files, folders, filename extensions | Windows for instructions to access it.

Delete all the files within the OOBE folder, but do not delete the folder itself.

Restart the computer and launch the Creative Cloud desktop app again.

The thing is, would it be an update or current version situation? Because I have the 2018 version since my laptop cannot use the current version.

And you started to have the issue just recently?

Can you please tell us exactly what is happening? Step by step?

 

Also: which system is it?

Where are you trying to save?

Is there a printer connected, set up as the default printer and turned on?
