Workspace Name & dropdown menu missing from top of screen — where is it? AI 2022

Hello,

Hoping someone can help me figure out why the "workspace drop down menu" is missing from the top right corner of the AI screen? I am on a Mac Monterey OS using AI CC 2022. This menu shows up fine on all other Adobe programs, just not in Illustrator?

 

Please see screenshot attached — any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out. The icon showcased by Creamer in the screenshot has been here since Ai 2021. It has been almost two years since this change was implemented in Ai. 

This has been done to make UI look more modernized & less cluttered with text.

 

I would recommend you post this on our UserVoice (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/). This way, if enough users upvote your UserVoice, it will help us decide whether to revert this change or not. Also, this is the best way of communicating with the Engineering and Product teams regarding issues and suggestions so they can be implemented in future releases.

Does the workspace icon not work for you?

    Yes the icon is there, however I want the interface to show the larger view (with the workspace name) along with the search box ...like this (see attached).
