Wrong pdf settings

I need help.
I save the project as a pdf but when I list the document, even though I select actual size, the document is modified. More precisely, the dimensions are increased by a few millimeters.
More specifically: I have a circle arch designed for 150 mm but printed, although I select „actual size”, it is printed as 158.5 mm.
What i do wrong?

Dragos,

 

I believe Ton has it covered, but you could try to File>Place the PDF back into the document as a link and then Direct Select the circle and see whether it is (still) 150 mm (the W/H value).

    I printed directly from Illustrator and the measurements didn't change, so is it a problem saving to PDF?

    It seems so, Dragos, but I believe it is worth determining whether it is between AI and PDF or between PDF and print.

     

    Have you tried the placing of the PDF in AI?

    Also (you don't show us the design) check whether 150mm is an interior size, rather than edge to edge.

      Try printing a file with an 150 mm object from another app to check if it could be the printer.

      I too was thinking it could be an issue with the printer not printing to an accurate size. When printing at actual size (assuming the app is not auto scaling down to fit the printable area), it "should" work. If it doesn't, trying another app would reveal if it's either a bug in the software or a problem with the printer. I wouldn't be surprised if many printers are not 100% size accurate.

      Are you sure it is the PDF or could it be the paper/printer/ink combination doing this?

      I'm wondering if there aren't settings I need to make in the save dialog in Illustrator so that the dimensions don't change when I save the PDF. I printed directly from Illustrator and the measurements didn't change, so is it a problem saving to PDF? (scuse my google translater english)
