"Your FIles" - launch/opening window shows Cloud files...can it also show recent local stored ones?

When I launch Illustrator on WIndows 11 the initiall screen/window has the "Your FIles" but that displays displays Adobe CLOUD ones ONLY. Performance for us is terrible to the cloud so we have to resort to storing and working with them 99% of the time on network mapped drives. (also have issues storing/working with tjhem on SHarePoint as well but thats another post!) 

Is ther a way to have it show my recent "local" or non-cloud files?? Kind of frustrating to be honest. And I swear that about a year ago it DID show them but maybe Im nuts. 

Also, even of those files not all have clear thumbnails - not sure why - about 50% are semi/sorta greayed out.....

Any ideas or suggestions?
