A few questions about embroidery!

1. You cannot adjust the size of the embroidery pattern separately. You can only adjust the texture tiling in the viewer to change the size. However, if there is still a layer of fabric underneath the embroidery, the fabric will also change the size accordingly!
2,Of course, the position of the pattern in the fabric cannot be moved!
3. The embroidery height position can only be raised and cannot be concave. When you set the height position in the advanced parameters to a negative value, the embroidery pattern disappears!

Using a decal filter can solve this problem, but I think this method is a bit clumsy because I must first save the embroidery and then disclose the parameters for easy adjustment!

Hi,

1.You can adjust only the pattern if you place it underneath the filter like so:

2. You can move it, you have to ways to do so:

  • Put a transform on the image layer as shown above.
  • Use the decal filter -> no need to create a new project just create a new material and drag and drop the Embroidery into the decal filter:

If you want to modify the embroidery, return to the embroidery material to make your changes, once you return to the fabric material 3D Sampler will offer to update the layer stack:

3. As you said using the decal is one way, if you want all the pattern to be concave you should also look at the Emboss filter that will take your image to create embossing effect, and it will work with concave or convex forms.

Thank you!
