Color Replace - How to use?

How to use the Color Replace Layer?
The documentation doesn't cut it.

How can you create the desired mask?

If I want to replace a specific color, I usually pick Color 1. That's the color I would like to replace with my Target Color.

There is no option to select the desired color I would like to replace.
And I can't visualize the maks itself?
Is there any step-by-step tutorial that shows clearly how to replace a color?

thanks

Correct answer Cyril Dellenbach

I think I got the idea from that node, but it's impossible to select a specific color. So in my example, let's say you want to make sure that all the "grey" colors are going to be replaced with any other color of your choice.

How are you going to do that?

Hi @PixelFun,

If you want to only switch one of the color, the Color Replace filter should do the job.

You can use the little handle to select the color to replace, and then tweak the Luminosity/Color slider to set the desired amount.

Best regards,

You need to use Color Variation | Substance 3D Sampler (adobe.com) instead of Color Replace | Substance 3D Sampler (adobe.com) as the last one change properties of selected channel.

I change color on capture via Color Variations.

okay. is there a tutorial or a quick guide that demonstrates how to change one color with another?
sorry, but the documentation doesn't work for me. I am unable to select a specific color and replace it with another one. Even with the Color Variant node.
