how do I import a .jpg file  to SA and convert it to an .stl

Adobe 3D Sampler is used to create materials for use in texturing 3D mesh objects. Whilst materials can be made from images, including jpg files, an .stl file is a mesh file not a material/texture.

 

So this is the wrong tool for creating a mesh.
