Question

Creating brickwork from an image

Hi,

I have created seamless brickwork textures previously using clay, surface relief and brickwall layers. However, I want to use a brickwork image from a supplier to form a seamless texture. I'm running into issues as the individual bricks are multi coloured and textured and I can't close the seams. My current work flow is image to material, crop, perspective transform, tiling, colour variation, equalize. I have attached the brickwork image I am using.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Jonny

Hi

Something like this, using clone stamp to cover up the obvious brick joins?

Yes, it seems to work well! I would try to use different sources to avoid repeating the same lighter brick, but overall it works!

Hi!
Can you share a picture of your work so far? So we can suggest filters or workaround more accurately?

But what came in my mind at first, is to try to use a Wrap transform to realign the bricks, and Clone stamp or Content aware fill to fix the color matching. Or a color replace if those don't work.
