How can you create a Curvature map with Substance Sampler?
Can't find any info on that.

Thx for any little info,
appreciate it!

Hi @bernhardrieder,

We usually don't use Curvature map with materials, and the Curvature is more often baked with a High/Low poly workflow. Considering Substance Sampler doesn't have a baking feature, and that the soft is more focused on sampling, this map isn't natively present on Sampler.

With that being said, it's perfectly doable to build a Filter with Substance 3D Designer that will take the Normal map from the material and turn it into a Curvature. In fact, you'll find attached a filter I just built that you can simply drag & drop on the layerstack. The bothering thing is that the Curvature won't be visible until export.

Best regards,

thx Cyril, appreciate it. But yes, if I can't see what this filter is doing inside of Sampler, I can't really use it within Sampler. But I do appreciate the information and your help digging into that.
