Correct answer LoryAline

Hi,

It is normal as the "Textile Wear" isn't in Substance 3D Sampler anymore.
We made our filters so they can be used in many ways by the users, and if you need something really specific you can create your own filters in Substance 3D Designer. ( https://substance3d.adobe.com/documentation/sadoc/custom-filters-172823668.html  )

There's many filters to work on wood the link that shared @Ares Hovhannesyan will help you choose the best filters for your needs.

Thank you

Why is it that most of the Adobe 3D support responses are just variations of "here's the manual" and don't seem like they read or understood the question and don't actually give any answers or help at all?

Adobe is pushing this 3D software package, so there are going to be a lot of new 3D users (like me) watching the tutorial series like the Substance in Fashion Design videos from Feb 2021.

In the second video, Skeeva shows how to use the "Textile Wear" filter in Substance Alchemist. As of July 2021, the program had been renamed to Substance 3D Sampler, and the Textile Wear filter is nowhere to be found.

When searching for the reason for it's disappearance, this is the only page that comes up, and the only pertinent response is "'Textile Wear' isn't in Substance anymore,' with no additional information on how to recreate it, what to use instead, or anything that might help in any way, other than a link to the manual for how to create custom filters.

If new users are still following basic tutorials, we're probably not at the point of making custom filters in 3D Designer, that should be pretty obvious.

One would think that Adobe support would be interested in making sure new users can follow along with their own official tutorials that are only 6 months old without having to resort to searching for things like missing filters literally 5 minutes into an introduction video, and would be more thorough in updating the manuals/documentation with current information.

I've subscribed to the 3D plan for a week now and it's exceedingly frustrating to pay $30/mo for something with out of date tutorials/information/documentation, without any legit customer/technical support other than vaguely condescending/generic/"RTFM" responses to legitimate questions.

Yes. we got same feeling: "Why is it that most of the Adobe 3D support responses are just variations of "here's the manual" and don't seem like they read or understood the question and don't actually give any answers or help at all?"

I join many forum but this is "different". May be they will change operation in future.

Best regards

Travis
