Hello,

Thanks in advance for any quick steps on how to make a wood floor cheveron pattern in sampler?

Please note that I downloaded a non pattern .sbsar wood from substance source, and I want to make that into a Cheveron Wood Pattern.  Attached in an example of the chevron pattern.

Thanks,

Sandra

I create this Heeringbone pattern with "Floor Tile". You can use attached image and create texture or material in Sampler also? Did you try that? Also search in Assets.

Hi Sandra,

To create a chevron pattern with your non-pattern wood in Substance Sampler, start by importing the SBSAR file. Then, create a diagonal mask to form the chevron shape and apply it to the wood texture. Adjust the tiling to fit the pattern and fine-tune the grain for a more realistic look.

At Deco Project Trading, we specialize in high-quality wood flooring solutions, including chevron patterns. If you ever need inspiration or advice on wood floor designs, feel free to reach out or browse through our projects.

Hope this helps!

I'll add that we have a serie of videos that explain how to use filters to quickly create materials:

Hi LoryAline,

I wanted to create the cheveron pattern from scratch using the herringbone and there is no option that I can see to remove the offset you have in the herringbone pattern.  The next thing I tried was using a zig zag pattern and I don't know if it's possible to get the base wood materials to follow twice this pattern.  Please if anybody knows how to do this from scratch by all means recommend.

Thanks,

Sandra
