Layer resolution error

I've written a script that creates one material per image file in a folder and then adds some layers. Although the document resolution is set to 1024x1024, all newly added layers have 2048x2048 resolution. I have to run this script over hundreds of files, with a bunch of layers for each material. Changing the layer resolution for each layer is very tedious. Any solution proposals?

Hi,

Can you share a screenshot of your layer stack? What steps do the script does?
Any details on the method and specifcs steps will be helpful to understand what is happening.

You can verify in the properties that the default Layer resolution strategy is set to "Document", go to Edit>Preferences>Default Layer Resolution.
Can you also try the "switch all" button to set all the stack to "Document" to see if it changes anything?
