map ratio

Hello
I have textures (vegetation: bark, leaves etc. of Xfrog origin) which are not square and which do not respect the size power 2 (256 512 1024 etc. on at least one dimension ... (for example 437 x1024)

Is it possible to create in sampler (with Btm) the textures that I am missing (normal displacement ao) in the same format as the basecolor map I have?

(I would not remap all existing complex geometry)

Thank in advance

Jean-Luc

Hello,

Yes, it will be possible to generate the textures you need using Image to Material.

Regarding the ratio, you can unlock the resolution and set a non-square resolution (512 x 1024, 512 x 2048,...).

We're working on a feature called "Physical size" (see a quick preview here) that will allow you to easily work with non power of 2 textures.

Thanks

Thank you very much baptiste for your answer

If I understand correctly it's actually possible to unlock the resolution for non square images but only for power  of 2 image ratio

(I've already found this)

And in the future it will be possible to create non square and non power of 2 image map

That's it?

And so can you tell me when this feature will be available in an upgrade of sampler?

Thank u in advance
