I have "Adobe Flash Encoder 3.2" and "Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5" on Windows 7 x64. I am trying to Broadcast my webcam.For this purpose I followed up all the instructions "exactly same" writtin in article below;http://www.adobe.com/devnet/adobe-media-server/articles/webcasting_fme.htmlEverything happened exactly as written in the article.I can see my webcam is working and encoded,I can see the Flash Media Server is running from Administation page,I can see the encoder is connected to Flash Media Server,BUT when I open final html page to see my broadcasted video, I NEVER can see a video on that page.I gave my hours and days to try them again (inorder to prevent any mistake I made), but result is alyways same.Although it looks like everything is right , at the end THERE IS NO BROADCASTED VIDEO CAN BE SEEN !I don't know why?Please give an idea about what should I check more?I don't have any clue about where can be the wrong thing?

Hello,I am having some issues with streaming Live and DVR. I am fairly new to the FMS world, but not to the streaming media world.I am using a FMS server on AWS, version 4.5. I have installed DVRcast on the server and created a test application. I am seeing no errors in the logs, all services are running properly. No errors when connecting to the serve via FMLE. Logged into the Admin Console, I see the connection. In the Adobe Flash Media Playback Setup player, it just buffers. I try to play the rtmp stream in another test player and get a security error. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I had created simple p2p rtmfp video conferencing application. Peers connect to server to get the id. Server side script is written for this purpose. This application was working earlier.Now suddenly connection to server via netconnection is giving error. First it shows message NetConnection.Connect.Failed & later if tried to connect it gives NetConnection.Connect.Closed message. If I continue to connect using timer, after long time 3-4 minutes it gets connected & NetConnection.Connect.Success message appears.Traced info.description, but could not find the reason for connection Fail & close. Hi~I had wrote a p2p system,which use adobe FMS 4.5 to be the communication server,and write the AS3 program for publisher(mobile phone) & subscriber(PC).this architecture works fine in LAN,but after deploying FMS to the public IP server,subscriber will not receive any video stream.any body knows the problem why?thanks~

I am trying to play live stream from FMLE (livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent) to FMS 4.5 to HTML5 player on both desktop and android. I haven't managed to make it with several HTML5 video players I tried on Windows desktop. Hello Everyone, Looking for some advice. I have created an rtmfp group. In groupspec I have set the serverChannelEnabled to true. Allowing FMS to bootstrap clients automatically,  I prefer to use this rather than LAN peer discovery because it doesnt require knowledge of peerIDs. Also I use NetStream to distribute audio/video etc. and, a NetGroup to help control the group.I have a general idea how to add peers to a group however, I'm looking to find a random peer member to bootstrap with who is a member of the same NetGroup. My question for you is how do you find a path to a peer and establish direct communication to exchange data and share audio and video?. I'm fairly new to FMS I'm trying to understand what is the best of way of doing this.

I am seeing some very bad buffering and jumpiness on a live stream im testing. Hi,I want to convert f4v files. Recorded with adobe's live media encoder. So I can edit them in Premiere Pro or play them with vlc.Right now the files are 500 mb, the information is in it. Only playback stops after 7-10 minutes.The following I allready tried.ffmpeg (does not work, neather windows or linux)f4vpp (i get the 203 error)now I want to set up adobe flash media server and record them with stream recording software. Dont get it figured out, how to open the rtpd stream.I did a default instal, and when I replace the file sample_1500kbs.f4v in the vod folder with my file, it works well. so now I want to find out how to catch the stream..Any help would be apreciated!Kind regards,Vincent Vriens

Hi there and thanks for looking, I thinks it's something simple and I seem to not get it I have FMLE source streaming to FMS #1, and FMS #1 is multipoint publishing to FMS #2. It works great, but when I stop FMLE source, the multipoint publishing from FMS #1 to FMS #2 doesn't stop (unpublish), and continues to stream empty (blank black) stream between the FMS servers.So how do I ubpublish the multipoint publishing streams on the FMS #1 ? Howdy,We're running FMS 4.5.3 on a Linux box.We've got a video conferencing system that streams out video as well records it to .flv files.  Both operations, as you can imagine, are critical.Today, I discovered that a number of videos were properly streamed out to individuals but were not saved on disk.  I can't quite explain what happened, though I do know that I found instances of:The FLV segment cache is fullin core.00.log.  From what I can tell, this issue relates to recording of streams, but not broadcasting them.Is there a strategy I can use to insure under no circumstances do we broadcast a stream without recording it? I'd much rather have the whole process fail then find out after the fact that recording has failed.Some further details about our process:On the server side, I'm using default FMS behavior.  Our "application" consists of nothing more than a directory (say "foo") in the applications directory.  In that directory is an Application.xml that c

We have just got AMS5, and we have a player that does not support f4m v2.0 yet. So we are having issues finding the right combination of Even, Manifest, Applicatio xml's etc, or to get set level manifests for live streaming channels to work. The help docs never seem to provide definitive answers on how to do anything so its proving difficult to get this fixed.Has anyone had similar trouble with having to use an f4m v1 manifest?

Just installed AMS5 for a POC, but I am unable to run the f4mconfig tool at all in the browser.install is on Win2008 server, with IE8.is this a known issue? do I even need to use the f4mconfig tool?thanks

Hello,I have had a custom-built Flash-based player successfully streaming .mp3 files from FMS v4.5.5 for some time now. From what I have read, Flash will also play .m4a files. For operational reasons, I wish to move from using a .mp3 based media library to a .m4a based one. I have had the Flash player changed to play a .m4a stream but it is not working. My interpretation of the FMS Access log leads me to think that the requested media file is not being found. Why might that be? As far as I'm aware, nothing has been changed in the config or code other than the type of media file to play (mp3 -> m4a).I can provide further details, logs, etc. if so required.Please note that this version of FMS insists on using the "live" application area, even though I am simply streaming pre-recorded audio clips.Thanks & Regards,SteveB

Hello All,I'm working with Edgecast on an issue with the FMS logs stating the following:2013-07-02 16:05:05 24854 (w)2611179 Warning from libf4f.so: [Utils] [07022013-10060-PS410122] [07022013-10060-PS410122] FMS F4F recording received timestamps with absolute time flowing backward lastTime held was 1928742 and the most recent arrived was 1928736. This message is being ignored - recording will continue.Edgecast thinks this is causing Server Size Archive file corruption and iOS playout issues.I was hoping someone could tell me what timestamp or timecode it is reffering to.  Is it the elementry h.264 video timecodes (PCR or PTS or STC) , ip packet timecodes, or other information.Thank youAustin
