I have managed to install the trial version of FMS - developer 4.5 using the defaults including Apache, and it works reasonably well. However it has used-up all the available IP addresses so that IIS does not now work. I need IIS and FMS to reside together on the same server, as IIS provides document download and upload for our web-site on a different server. I have tried changing the FMS.ini file to limit the IP and Ports used, but to little use. My server is Win2k8 R2, and IIS V7.5 + V7.0 for FTP; all 64bit.Kind regards Ken Birch
I'm using Amazon CloudFront in connection with Adobe Flash Media Server to live stream an event using HTTP streaming. How can I get basic stream statistics, including number of viewers?http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/AmazonCloudFront/latest/DeveloperGuide/LiveStreamingUsingAmazonCloudFront.html
Hi there,I'm sorry if this issue has already been answered somewhere else, but my Google skills are up to par and I was unable to find a documented resolution to this problem within the last few days. Opening a new topic was my last resort.I am designing a live-streaming system for a client. We've been running an instance 24/7 for the last month and my client just received an enormous bill for that.Basically we need to be able to start and stop the instance as needed. When I check the checkbox next to it in the Management Console and click on Instance Actions, Stop and Start are greyed out. I am allowed to Terminate and Reboot the instance, but I'd like to keep my same instance and simply turn it on and off in between live streams. I've read that the Start and Stop options are disabled because my instance is not stored on an EBS volume, and that running FMS on an EBS volume is not supported. Must I leave the instance running all the time in order to
I have created a live stream using Amazon Web Services and Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5.AWS provides me with both a .f4m and .m3u8 file, to use in <object><embed> and <video> tags, respectively.The .f4m loads fine on my desktop browser, and the .m3u8 file loads fine on my iOS device. However, my Android devices will not load either file. What code/solutions are there to get this to play on Android devices?My current .f4m code (retrieved from http://www.osmf.org/configurator/fmp):<object width="600" height="409"> <param name="movie" value="http://fpdownload.adobe.com/strobe/FlashMediaPlayback_101.swf"></param> <param name="flashvars" value="src=http%3A%2F%2F<myinfo>.cloudfront.net%2Fhds-live%2Flivepkgr%2F_definst_%2Fliveevent%2Flivestream.f4m"></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always">&
Does anyone know if Flash Media Server has a function that allows you to see statistics on which particular streams are being delivered? Seems like that would be a handy tool in determining which bitrates are important to continue providing, and which are superfluous, and if it's time to try encoding at higher bit rates.Thanks,Mike
I have a work station with Osprey 230 , I need to stream the same stream on two diffrent URL via 2 network cards . Is that possible ?Which software you reccommend ?
Hey guys, I'm having a lot of trouble setting of FMS 4So I have it installed, all the services are running, I believe my 1935 and 1111 ports are open on my firewall and everything should be in order.I also have WAMP installed.I can connect to localhost in my browser and see the start page.Everything tells me unable to connect to network.if I try to connect to localhost:1111/admin I get this:<result><level>error</level><code>NetConnection.Connect.Rejected</code><description>Admin user requires valid username and password.</description><timestamp>4/8/2012 12:34:34 PM</timestamp></result>I'm able to go to the admin page and log in to the server (which I used to not be able to do either).in my error log I get this [Fri May 07 15:28:27 2010] [notice] Child 125556: Starting thread to listen on port 80.[Fri May 07 16:45:43 2010] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: C:/Perforce/depot/branches/FMS/vendors/x86win/Release/Apac
Before you read this, i will like to thank you for spending sometime on this. I use Flash Media Live Encoder (FMLE) and FMS 3.5 Interactive server.What i currently do is just load the video source in FMLE and stream to FMS.The problem is , the stream regularly buffers in low bandwidth situations.I am therefore thinking of finding a way to rather record the video, then stream the video live into FMSwhiles the recording is still going on. The public then will watch the stream which will be about 10 seconds late.I dont know if i have explained this well. But any help will do.

Hi guys,what to set in FMS config files to help me with rebuffering on client side?The player (flash, rtmp) rebuffers a lot (approx. twice a minute) with no good reason - i've tried several players with various buffer settings, clients and server have sufficient bandwidth for the stream (live streaming) - so i guess this can be helped server side - can it and how?Please help.
Hi there, I develop failover fms application with server-side action script. But i have a problem that FMS can't continue to record stream with record mode "append".Environment: FMS 4.5.1 r484 on CentOS 5.5/6.0Goals:I have 2 same data streams in failover application and republish primary to livepkgr application.I have to store of last 10 hours intact recorded video (DVR).Failover app logic:1. I create NetConnection and NetStream to livepackager;2. When primary stream is connected it attach the primary stream to livePackager NetStream3. If primary stream is disconnected it reattach the backup stream to livePackager NetStream Problem:I have testing environment. It stop primary stream every 5 min, and started primary stream 5 min after stopping.It work's, fine, but after a few hours testing LIVEPACKAGER falls.It can't record a stream, NetStream.Record.Start -> NetStream.Record.NoAccess -> NetStream.Record.StopSearch a solution:I try to relaunch recording process and have no success.
HTTP broadcast delay is too long, I do a test in the LAN, send video using FME 3.2 the flow FMS4.5 server, use the sample folder under the videoplayer to play live video streams, using HTTP delay of 10 seconds or more,(RMTP play live rarely delay), who can tell me, how can I do this problem can solve the delay!
I have just installed Flash Media Server developer version 4.5 on my server, the Start Screen appears and keeps asking me to install Flash Player version 10.2 or above. I have repeatedly installed Flash Player 11 to no avail. I have tried to start the Admin Console but it just shows the 'get flash player' icon. I can confirm that Apache is running as I get an error from it when I try to access the Admin Console from the Internet. The Adobe web-site confirms that Flash Player 11 is installed and working correctly for the Operating System, Windows 2k8-R2. I have restarted the server to make sure everything has installed correctly, but it makes no difference. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Regards Ken.
Thanks for your answer to me, for my bad english, I have a problem, may not easily answered.In multiple instances, limiting the maximum number of connections for the same IP?You give me the answer is to limit a single instance, whether there is a way to limit the number of users of the entire connected to the FMS?
Hello,I'm having a very frustrating problem with FMS. A stream recorded on the server-side won't play until I restart the server.The user flow I'm currently working with is:1. record webcam stream2. close the stream3. call FMS function to post process the stream4. FMS joins the recorded webcam stream with two pre-recorded videos and stores as a new streamThen, knowing the new stream name, I'm trying to play it. However, I'm always seeing its last frame and it doesn't play. Surprisingly, restarting the server and re-connecting to it helps, then I can play the stream.So I wonder if (server-side):var stream = Stream.get("streamName");stream.record();stream.play(...);stream.play(...);stream.play(...);somehow retains the stream? Locks it? I'm just guessing. Any ideas?Thanks!
How to set the maximum number of connections of FMS on the same IP?
I am using FMS 4.5 and have a simple application which I want to use to send two strings to a php file. But I get a compilation error whenever I try to assign any value to these objects:Here is main.asc:<code>var variables = new LoadVars();variables.username = "uname";variables.send(http://url.abc.com/test.php,POST)</code>I can't compile with the second line. FMS just says: Sending error message: Compilation errorHow do I send variables to a HTTP URL?
Hi,I am trying to collect appstats using this code in main.asc.What is wrong here?application.onConnect = function( p_client, p_autoSenseBW ) { this.acceptConnection(p_client); nc_poll=new NetConnection(); nc_poll.connect("rtmp://localhost:1111/admin","admin","a1s2d3f4"); nc_poll.call("getAppStats",new onGetAppStats(), "vod"); function onGetAppStats() { this.onResult = function(info) { trace("POOJA 1111"); outputBox.text = "Info for "+appName.text+ " returned:" + newline; trace("POOJA 2222"); printObj(info, outputBox); } } function printObj(obj, desti
Can anyone clarify the limitation of 500 connections on the Flash Media Interactive Server 4.5?I'm told you can only have up to 500 simultaneous connections, but I'm wondering if that applies to rtmp connections, or just to rtmfp connections.Thanks in advance!Mike
