Announcing Improved Illustrator To Photoshop Copy Paste Of Text

We are excited to share that Photoshop beta now has support for copy pasting Illustrator text objects as fully editable live text in Photoshop when users choose Paste > “Paste As-> Layers” option.

Layers option supports the import of Illustrator layers while maintaining their visual and functional efficacy and layer structure.

Earlier Illustrator text was pasted as non-editable pixel (rasterized) layer in Photoshop with the Layers option. With this feature, Illustrator text will be pasted as editable Photoshop text layer enabling functional efficacy of pasted Illustrator text content.

For some Illustrator text objects which have properties unsupported by Photoshop, we will fallback to copy paste as non-editable pixel (rasterized) layer.
