beta 27.10.0 Generative Fill grayed out

In 27.10.0, when opening a file (rgb, 32 bit), if I Select all and then go to Edit/Generative fill, it is grayed out. It works fine in regular Photoshop. I've tried several images (black and white and color), and they all have the same problem. Generative fill is grayed out.

Hi @frodoboy this is not a bug but as designed. At this time only 16bit files work with GenFill. Can you explain or show some screenshots of how you are able to do this in Photoshop release version?  If you open a 32bit file, select all and try to use GenFill, you should see this error.

    Thanks,

I’m sorry, Cory. I meant 16 bit files. Not 32 bit. I tried a 16 bit image in the release version and it worked fine. When I tried the same 16 bit image in Beta, I selected All, then Edit and Gen fill is grayed out. Attached is the 16 bit image showing the grayed out option.
