Brightness is blown out in PS Beta...Fine everywhere else.

I was working on a a file earlier today and all the colors were great, I opened it later and everything was washed out. Every file I opened in photoshop was washed out, but if I opened the same file in another app it looked fine. The color space was RGB, I tried most of the fixes mentioned above with no luck. I FINALLY FIXED IT BY uninstalling Photoshop, deleting the preferences, and reinstalling photoshop.

was not exactly as you @CShubert suggests, since there is no Preferences anymore, but Settings, and I changed all as follows, and then it seems to work.

Why has Adobe gotten worse and worse? Why don't they check the programs before updating? I don't dare update soon because Adobe has really gotten worse in recent years. They just increase prices, but get worse? I have worked with Photoshop since Photoshop 1.0 (late 80’s)

Thank you for reporting the issue. Could you please go to Preferences > Technology Preview > Precise Color Management, uncheck the option, and restart Photoshop to see if the issue is resolved? If so, this workaround is preferable to disabling the GPU while we work on a fix.

I have the same problem but Precise Color Management was already unchecked. Have tried restarting. Only happened since most recent update. Please advise if can rollback Beta version (Other Photoshop is fine)

Hello,

Since the latest Photoshop Beta update, I have been having a problem with color rendering. Images are suddenly being displayed as washed out and less saturated.
In the standard Photoshop 2026 and in the previous Beta version, the same photos look fine, so it really seems to be due to the new update.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or perhaps has a solution?
