CAI PNG / AI files need import support

Hi,

 

I am using the CAI Content Credentials Beta.

My attachments show the need for native AI support for Content Credentials.

 

One file created in AI exported as PNG and opened in PS with Content Creds attached.

The second file is a Native AI file opened in PS and exported as a PNG with Content Creds attached.

 

Both show imported file WITHOUT credentials.

But in both cases the files were created natively in AI and exported or imported into PS.

 

Finally, I really need content credentials suport for GIF, MPEG-4 and hopefully AU native WAV files.

Hi @TBlackmon99 ,

 

Thanks for posting regarding Content Credentials, it's worth noting that AI (Illustrator) does not yet support creating files with content credentials. 

 

So the credentials would only be applied when exporting from Photoshop after edits have been applied.

When bringing these files into Photoshop, prior to export, are you making any changes to the file prior to exporting?

 

Also, thank you for the request for more file support, the team is working on adding more file support. Stay tuned.

The CAI team is also curious if you'd be up for describing your occupation and more about your use case for using Content Credentials, would you be up for providing some of that background information?

My name is Tavarus Blackmon, I am a part-time lecturer in the CSU system. I teach painting and drawing and digital art. I am aslo a developer, business owner, Board Member, Gallery Preseident and curator in the Northern California Region.

I use many of the Adobe Apps.

I need support for Ai, and Audition for example as well CC Express CAI Cred.s.

Use cases include file extensions already included as well as GIF MPEG-4 and WAV codecies.

 

In my image use cases, and in Generative Art for example, I would require a Content Credential for each unique asset in a file or layer. For example, each file has ten layers (10 creds)/ Each layer has 10 variations (10 more creds.) etc. My use case is a Generative Art project for NFTs with each unique asset or layer with its own credential. 

 

Therefore, I would require some type of automation and batch processing for implementing Animation layers with Content Credentials or NFTs flat artwork with each layer having provenance and credentials.

 

Native mobile support is also required. My workflow has shifted to Adobe CC Express and Adobe Premier Rush on my iOS device. This CAI initiative has me back on Ps (where I create videos and images compositions) but an interopobility would be nessessary to move between my mobile and desktop workflows.
