Version of the app: Adobe Photoshop 2026 (Beta) - Version 27.1.0
Platform and OS version: Mac mini (2024), Apple M4 Chip (Model: Mac16,10) macOS Sequoia (Build 25B78)
Basic steps to reproduce the problem:
Clean install or update to Photoshop v27.1.0 on an Apple Silicon M4 Mac.
Launch the application.
The splash screen appears, identifying "Scanning for plug-ins" or "Initializing".
The application crashes immediately before the workspace loads.
Troubleshooting steps already attempted (Issue persists):
Deleted the CT Font Cache and TypeSupport folders in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/.
Cleared the OOBE and CoreSync folders to reset licensing and syncing.
Disabled/Removed all cloud fonts from Creative Cloud Desktop.
Validated local macOS fonts via Font Book (no errors found).
Reset macOS font databases using sudo atsutil databases -remove.
Reinstalled the application multiple times.
Expected result: The application should launch successfully and load the workspace.
Actual result: The application crashes immediately on startup. The crash report consistently points to AdobeCoolType on the main thread and shows multiple TypeKitDownload threads active in the background, suggesting a conflict between the font engine and the cloud sync process on this hardware architecture.
