Disappearing Brush

So on this subject, I have applied a mask and trying to mask out certain things and when the brush leaves the center of the subject, wether it be to the top or the side of the subject, the brush circle icon disappears in certain areas. Is there a way to keep this from happening or is it a software error?

Hey Trevor,

 

Yes I have checked if the brush is the actual B shortcut and it is. It wasn't that. I believe it was a glitch. It works now. I don't know what could have caused that. Like I had mentioned, I was trying to mask a subject and the brush would only show the circle icon in the middle of the subject, as soon as I would move it up or to the side of the subject it would disappear and could no longer see the icon or use the brush to mask out. So I restarted the computer and it worked again. But thank you for the reply.

Hi Aaron.  Can you show us a screen shot of what you are seeing/

It needs to be of your entire workspace, full resolution, and with Layers and Brush Settings panels showing.  The history panel miight be useful as well.

 

You could double check that it is definitely the normal Brush tool that is selected.  The new Adjustment Brush uses the B shortcut, and its cursor sort of disappears when moved outside the document window

 

BTW  I thought I'd answered a very similar question yesterday, but I see this is the only post you have made to the forum, so we might be slipping into the Twilight Zone!
