Edit in Photoshop/Lightroom

when I right click in lightroom and edit in photoshop, it opens in photoshop, then when I make my change and hit save, it no longer shows up in lightroom classic.

I know that in lightroom CC the integration is that you have to save and close out of the document to see the reflected changes and this is one of the main reasons I still use lightroom classic as it updates as soon as you save. This means that if I notice a mistake back in lightroom classic I can go back to the opened document and make the change. If I have to close out of the document I can no longer undo the mistake because I had to close out of the file. This is a huge editing workflow issue.
