Error message: unable to create folder or file when Photo Processing from Bridge (PS b 25.12 m2735)

Thanks for the feedback.

It was an action I have created long time ago. No, I don't create an action everytime. 
I think it's OK for the action, indeed, with the latest test, it seems to produce the same result. 

But the problem with the inability to write to the folder is not limited to this particular action. Even if I don't select any action while processing, the error appears randomly. Mostly on the 5th file, there is an error. If I lauch Beta as admin, sometimes it's not the 5th but a little bit later, but in most case, still the 5th. Error still occurs later, but it begins at the 5th.

And the number of failling fails are different everytime.

The F Drive is an internal SSD Sata Disk. connected internaly with a SATA cable .

The previous capture showed F drive, but even on my working drive K (internal NVME 512Go), the problem still occurs.

My current scratch disk is an internal drive, S Drive NVMe CT1000P3PSSD8 (6479_A77F_2000_0093.) [931 GB], connected on M2 port PCIE Gen4x4.

The system C drive is exactly the same as the S Drive. 

What is curious (very) is that when I use regular Photoshop, there is no problem, while they have the same parameters (same scratch disk).

I think I have already sorted the permission problem as I have deactivated the UAC on my computer. May be there are some folder I can delete ? (I have alredy tried to do so when uninstalling the Beta, and reinstall it again - 3 times as I have tried to downgrade it at one time).

I will try the suggestion with disabling services ....

I don't see a similar error on my end when testing this workflow. The message you see indicates an access rights (permissions) issue. This could be caused by something going on with the specific files themselves, something about the drive they are on, or some form of interference.

Assuming that the error does not come up for the same files every time, then the files are probably not the issue.

What can you tell us about the F: drive? Internal/External? How is it connected? There could be issues with continuous communication.

What I think is more likely though, if this behavior seems somewhat random, is that there is external interference. This would come from some other application running on the system, perhaps hidden in the background. For example, it could be something like anti-virus locking files as it scans them. There are a lot of posibilities, so it would be helpful to test in a simplified startup, such as following the directions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html

As for the results, I tested the action you provided in the beta version (25.12) as well as release (25.11) and see the same results in each. Looking at the details in the action, those results are what I would expect. The two things of note in the action's crop settings: "Left: -504" and "Bottom: 4032".

Having a negative number here means that it will move the left edge of the canvas to the left and (when using default settings) fill it with white (or whatever your Background swatch is set to). This would create a white bar on the left of most images unless it was a multi-layer document and one or more of thoese layers has content which is to the left of the current canvas edge. 

With Bottom being set to 4032 (and Top is at 0), it means your canvas size will be changed to 4032. If the images you are processing are taller than this, they will get cropped to this value. If they are shorter than this, you will get a similar white bar as described above, at the bottom of the image. 

When I run the action, that's what I get: white bars on the bottom and left (which seems to match the results you are seeing in your screen shot from 25.12). 

Since you are seeing different results between versions, one of two things are happening: 1. you are working with differently sized files 2. the settings for the crop step in the action are different. If you created the action from scratch in each version, it is quite possible that there are different settings in each version. Have you tried loading the copy of the action you sent us in each version of Photoshop and tried running it? My guess is if you did so, you would see the same results from each version. Also, if you check the crop step in the action of each version, you will likely see different numbers.

I would like also to mention that the results of the image processing with the beta versions are different from the images produced by the non Beta version ! Very strange. 
Unfortunately, this thread doesn't allow me to join the action or a zip containing it.

Note : at the end of the processing, the beta version says also that it couldn't write the document preset ...

I just select 20 pictures from Bridge. Then choose Image Processor. For example, as output format JPEG, resize to 1024x1024, then RUN.
Then the error message appear.

Among the 20 files, it says 5 could not be processed 

I uninstalled the 25.12 beta version. Then I installed former 25.11 beta version, same problem !

However,  when I use regular Photoshop (non beta), there is no problem ... 
May be some script / windows permission problems ...

Thank you @Tianaina33054193fn95 could you share some screenshots of what your workflow is, what steps you are doing when this happens?  We know it happens radomly, but we need to find a way to repeat the issue so we can see what might be happening.

When I wrote the report, my scratch disk was set on an alternative disk "S" (NVME,  1To, that had more than free 300Go space).

But now, my scratch disk is set to C, the system drive, (also NVME, 1To, with also 300Go free space).

Note : At one point, I had to reinstall Windows 11, after which point, the drive S was not avalaible as option for scratch disk anymore (but it appears agains when I launch Photoshop as administrator). Now I am stuch with drive C unless I use as administrator.
