Feature Updates in Substance Materials Plugin in Photoshop Beta!
Hello Beta Community!
We are excited to announce the improvements to the Substance Materials Plugin in Photoshop Beta!
Updated Features related to the workflow:
- Applying a material now duplicates the existing layer rather than overwriting previous settings.
- Layer Masks: Layers created with marquee selections now use layer masks instead of smart masks.
- Text Layer: Applying to a text layer creates a clipping mask with the material.
- Uniform Repeat: There is now an option to scale the material uniformly across X, Y axis.
We’ve also included some minor UI improvements in the New Build Notes. Check it out to learn more!
To access the feature, go to Plugin > Substance 3D > Materials. A panel with an amazing library of realistic materials will pop up and be applied to your image after a click. Substance Materials enables 3D materials/skins/textures created by Adobe and creators worldwide to be applied to 2D assets in Photoshop beta. You can browse through the library of materials preinstalled with the plugin or upload your.sbar files into Ps beta for photo editing.
Please try this out and share any thoughts or comments in this thread or the in-app feedback panel (accessed through the flask icon in the upper right-hand corner of the application). We look forward to hearing from you and seeing what you create!
