Question

Font Filter only responds to All Classes

I see that this bug has been reported in previous versions, however it is still persistent in the latest prerelease build (23.5.0) as well as the general release (23.4.2). I am using a MacStudio Pro with M1 Ultra. The filter does not work with Adobe Cloud fonts either. See the attached video.

Thanks Rocky!

Have sent you a quick email by the way.

In terms of troubleshooting here, since you're on a Mac, would you try this in a new admin user and see if it's the same there?

Regards,

PG

Thanks for the response, Pete. I tried all the methods you mentioned but to no avail. The font filter still does not show the individual selected classes (serif, san serif, etc); only All Classes.

I did the Troubleshooting steps to both the prerelease as well as the general release and it is still showing no change with the font filter. I can only surmise that it must be something specific with my system.

In the Desktop Bugs discussion forum it was mentioned (Jen_White) that others have had this same issue "sporatically", which leads me to believe that it may be more widespread than one might imagine. In the meantime, it's not a huge deterrent for me from doing everything I need to do in Photoshop.

If you need me to try other things, I am at your service.

Thanks for the report Rocky, though I'm not seeing this on either Release 23.4.2, or beta 23.5 on my system.

You could try to 1. Reset Ps preferences, or 2. Reset the font cache on the system.

If neither of those work, try some of our other Font Troubleshooting.

Let us know what ends up working for you!

Pete
