free transform is acting like legacy is enabled

aspect ratio is not maintained while using free transform. i have checked and unchecked the use legacy box but its broken. i have also rebooted

 

this is EXTREMELY annoying.

 

also, having to fill out this form mutiple times because adobe keeps signing me out and the page does nothing when pressing "post is further annoying me

Switch between fixed and free aspect ratio with a click.

However, there is a bug in this function and it cannot be fixed to a fixed aspect ratio.

I think this is probably the problem.

no. u have to press shift from the start if u want to maintain aspect and the crop tool stopped working entirely. its an issue w scaled sizing im in the latest photoshop beta

The latest Beta 26.6.0 20250316.m.3011 has been fixed so that it can be locked to a fixed aspect ratio.
Check it out.

if this isnt fixed im going to stop using beta altogether. this type of obvious  bug is a total dealbreaker for me
