Gen AI suddenly lags when trying to view variations

I'm having the same problems with Photoshop Beta 27.12.0 on Windows 11, and they've persisted through several Beta updates. Regular Photoshop 27.11.0 works perfectly on the same PC. Beta runs reasonably well until I generate something using Firefly or Nano Banana. The Generating panel goes blank grey, processing is unusually slow, and afterward switching between generated variations or toggling layer visibility doesn't update the canvas until I move the mouse to force a redraw. The circular busy cursor also constantly flickers when hovering over buttons and menus, even when nothing is processing.

These problems persist even after closing the affected document, and only restarting Photoshop Beta temporarily fixes them. Some Preferences panels and menus are also painfully slow to render, sometimes initially appearing blank grey. Disabling Use Graphics Processor fixes the canvas redraw issues, but the flickering busy cursor and sluggish menus remain, while overall performance suffers. This is clearly a Beta-specific problem, and it's becoming extremely frustrating to use.

yes im seeing the same too. have you noticed the variations when clicked arent updating the image unless you minimise the properties panel?
