Question

Generative AI fails as it believes there is no connection.

I get this message every time i try to generate an AI prompt with my wifi connection.
However, it will work if i hotspot with my phone's data connection.

I've done everything I can think of:
- rebooted my mac
- reinstalled PS beta
- cheked my firewall
- rebooted my router

Is there a solution to this on Mac OS Sonoma?

Photoshop Beta 25.9.0

MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1

Hi! The generative function in Photoshop 2025 doesn't work for me either. I tried it with Wi-Fi (4g and 5g) and with my laptop connected to mobile Internet.

@mjmralph the issue is definitely your router firewall (not your Mac) if you can get through on a hotspot.

Log into your router and check to make sure Adobe and Firefly are allowed:

"Definitely" do a lot of heavy lifting there.

I've turned off the router Firewall to test to see if that's issue - still no generations, with the same error message.
I've also taken it to a friends house and tried their connection (different ISP & router) - same error message.

This has only been an issue since the last update.

But you can connect via a hotspot without issue?
