Generative AI has been replaced by a VI (Virtual Idiot) that no longer removes objects

In the old days of AI in Photoshop, if you wanted to remove an object, you simply used the selection tool to draw around the image to be replaced with background. Now when you do it, The Photoshop AI, which has been replaced with a VI (Virtual Idiot) replaces the object to be removed with another object.

Instead of removing a power pole from an image, the VI replaces the power pole iwth a different style power pole. This happens whether I leave the Generative field blank or instruct it to REMOVE POWER POLE.

I've had this happen where I tried to remove a planter from an image. The new and improved VI replaced the object with a formal dining room table in a rustic outdoor plaza setting with no other table in the image.

Hi @Eric Jay Toll here is a guide to help you write more effective prompting. Leaving the prompt field blank lets the AI decide what it thinks is best - in this case replacing with another pole.

The word "REMOVE" does nothing but having "Power pole" confuses the AI into adding another pole.

Try telling it what you want not what you want to remove - like empty sky, grass and fence, etc. (whatever background is behind the pole).

That page literally does nothing to answer the OP post.
