Question

generative fill bug

I updated my PS Beta yesterday 7/27/23, and since then i get an error message when i am using generative fill.  Nothing has changed on my system.  It doesn't seem to happen when I am filling in with 1024x1024 squares to preserve resolution.  But when I try doing it over a larger area, I get the error message "Something went wrong  Please try again  [408]"

Assuming that this problem will linger, I would like to revert to the older unupdated version.  Does anyone know how to do this?

I'm getting a similar problem with generative fill - it no longer works with the latest update! I have also had a message pop up with an error code 408. Other times it just said to check my internet connection (there was no issue with my internet...).
Here's a screen shot of my Adobe Creative Cloud... go to apps - scroll down the left hand side until you see the category called 'beta apps'. Select Photoshop Beta, and click on the three dots to the right of where it says 'open'. Click on 'other versions' in the pop up menu. In this way, you should be able to re-install an older version of Photoshop Beta.......
I hope that helps! .... So far it seems to have solved the issue for me!

thank you very much for the tip. i uninstalled the latest beta and am re-installing an earlier version. that could take half the night with my internet speed, but i hope to have a pleasant surprise in the morning.

so much for that idea. i installed an older version of beta. the generative fill feature was turned off. so i uninstalled and installed the last one that did work for me, which was three versions ago. same thing. guess this is how they keep us moving along.
