Generative Fill in PS Beta 26.9

I am very disappointed in the recent PS Beta update.   Now my generative fill results are awful!  I used to be able to use object selection for a branch in front of a bird and it worked great.  Now the generative fill results (all of them) are unusable.  What the heck is going on??????   

I opened the same image in regular PS and it works fine.  This is ridiculous.
