Generative fill quits before finishing, no error, no info

Attempting to remove items from an image and generative fill starts but does not finish. Does not provide any information about it.

I am marquee-ing an area that I just want to remove, a mole on a face and a string on a hoodie, no text prompt, just removing them, runs through the process then poof modal disappears and nothing has changed. It was working previously, I was using it last week and the week prior without issue.

I just checked for an update and my app is up to date - 24.7.0

@phoenixmaximus sound like you have other issues going on. Perhaps try a reset of your preferences is in order. Go to Preferences/General and click the reset upon quit button and relaunch PS.

I am really just reporting this so you and the team are aware of it, I don't necessarily need a resolution or a fix right now, I know this is Beta so please know that it's not urgent, just trying to support the development of the tech that is AMAZING... I've manually done this work for a VERY long time and this is such a workflow miracle I cannot even begin to express how lovely it is.

Apparetly I cannot attach a video and it wants a youtube link, is there another option? I tried sending via email and that bounced back as well.

I was able to use generative fill with no text prompt in another file yesterday but it seems that this one particular file, which is Midjourney derived, will not finish processing. When I initially opened the file yesterday I was able to edit one spot, then I moved to another location on the image and this issue started.

I have used the blank generative fill a bit and originally saw it on one of the release videos from the Adobe team so I know it is supposed to work.

On a side note, I ran the no text attempt which did not work then ran with text and it did work so it is definitely something about the no text in this file which is just a PNG from my Midjourney gens.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
