Hi,

Making some test with Generative image AI changes, I saw wrong mask results if the selection is a area in the midle of the image from top to bottom.

In the left or right side of the image, there is a wrong mask area.

Try resetting Prefs for the Beta:

/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ Photoshop Beta Settings (Mac Ventura)

/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe\ Photoshop\ \(Beta\)\ Settings (Mac)
C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (Beta)\Adobe Photoshop (Beta) Settings )Win)

Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut

With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Hi @CShubert .
Sure, I'm using last beta 24.7. It happends in more of the 50% of images I tried.
There are some screenshots in my first message to show how to reproduce the bug (I saw they are in the oposite order).
Open a image (in my test is a vertical image), make a central selection from top to bottom and execute generative image (without promt text). You will get a extra mask area on the left (or rigth) of the result layer.
 Thanks in advanced.

Hi @David_Storm could you share your steps/workflow for what you are seeing so we can try to reproduce what you are seeing?  Are you on the latest beta, 24.7?  Have you seen this issue with all images you try or just this one?
