Question

Gradients saved in 24.6 does not work in 24.7 (document contains unknown data)

What happened with gradients? The same situation is with the newest Photoshop 24.5 (main release). I needed to go back to 24.6 beta to get my psd files working and be fully editable.

Hi @podlysyn sorry for the confusion. As with any beta, the team is working on the backend and offer many changes and updates over the life of the beta, some can cause the issue you are seeing.  That is why we suggest to work in the release version for all work.

In order to make the 24.6 beta doc compatible again, try removing any gradient maps to see if this works.  If you would like the team to help, it is possible for you to share a doc and they can adjust back to make it compatible... how many files did you create like this?

Hi,

I upgraded my Photoshop Beta from v24.6 to v24.7, and when I tried to open a file that was created in v24.6(older version), I got a warning message says "This document contains unknown data..." and all of my gradient map layers got blank. This used to happen when I tried to open new files in the older version, but this time it's backward, and cannot use the upgrade version because of this. So far, I only notice this problem on the gradient map layer... I hope there will be a fix soon!
