Question

How do I close Photoshop (Beta) which is already closed?

I have already used and closed Photoshop (Beta). When I try to open an image in 'normal' Photoshop, I get a warning

"Do you want to open in Adobe Photoshop (Beta), which is already running? If not, please close it and retry."

The only two options I am given are Cancel and Open in Adobe Photoshop (Beta)

Hey all, it seems like I just found a solution. Even though photo shopping, it was technically closed. I went ahead and re-opened it. Then I used "command+option+escape" to bring open the for quit window. Once I force quit Photoshop beta light room now recognizes beta as closed and i can open in Photoshop standard. Hope that helps!

Sorry, that was really jumbled. I was trying to say, even though Photoshop beta was technically closed, I went ahead and reopened it... *

I'm having the same issue ... I even uninstalled PS Beta and Lightroom still wont default to regular PS.

Oops. That should have read:

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm on a Mac, and I tried the Mac version of Task Manager and Adobe Photoshop (Beta) is not listed. I tried using killall Adobe Photoshop (Beta) in Terminal and get error reports. The only way I can see to get out of this problem is to reboot, but that's not a solution. This smells of a bug to me.

In Windows we'd bring up the Task Manager and look through the list of running process, and End Task any errant processes.
