Build 1828 seeoms to be a buggy one. Today images opened into the app cannot be zoomed into or resized within the UI. Compressing the application window horizontalluy results in a distorted image. This occurs with 3rd party JPG files or TIFF files opened from within ACR.
Attached images at 12800% zoom - clue it looks identical at 50% zoom too.
This morning a DNG file was opning from ACR with a cyan / magenta cast (the other machine).... No software updates have been done in the intervening time
