latest PS Beta not detected by Lightroom

Since latest PS & Beta updates, Lightroom is only showing PS2024 as an external editor option. Tried uninstalling PS2024 & Lightroom detects no available external editor option, even though PS Beta still installed. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling all 3, LR, PS & PS Beta. No change, PS Beta still not detected.

Got into the habit of using Beta when generative fill first appeared. Would just like the option of using it from Lightroom. Have tried steps 1 and 2 several times now. Prefer to wait and see if next update fixes it rather than resort to clean reinstall.

If uninstalling LR, PS & Beta and then reinstalling, is there a recommended order to the reinstall in? I think I did LR, PS, then Beta.

Oddly when I 1st started using Beta, only Beta then appeared as an external editor option in LR. PS only showed as an external editor option a couple of updates ago

The best way is to remove all betas, then setup your LrC to Ps workflow.  If that workflow is working as it should, then you install Ps beta..

Hi @dags111 is there a reason you are using beta and not the general Ps release?

 

You can:

  1. Uninstall all PS Betas
  2. Update to PS 25.0 (today’s release)
  3. Reset PS Preferences
  4. If it still doesn’t work, clean reinstall PS
