layers become invisible after a project is saved in photoshop

I am having an issue with layers becoming invisible when work is saved and reopened and although I can see layers on the right hand side they are not visible on canvas

Adobe Photohop 2025 version is 26.6, platform is windows 11 pro

@nycvnj judging by your screenshot you're using the Beta version, the latest Beta version is 26.7, have you tried updating to that version.

Issues with Beta versions should be reported on the Photoshop Beta forum
