Locale error and photoshop crashes when a tool is used

Using any tool, such as a spot healing brush, crashes the workspace, and text appears as a locale reference rather than the actual text

Thank you for the update.  When did this first start to happen?  What is your workflow that produces this error?

 

Could you share more screenshots of your process, desktop workspace in Ps as well as the error message?

I'm currently using a Chrome browser version 102, running ChromeOS.

Hi @pixelbytedrive sorry to hear this. Could you share what browser and version you are using? Have you tried a different browser, does the issue persist?  What coputer/OS are you using?
