Magic Wand makes circles, doesn't select image.

I use online photoshop on the go, it's handy when I'm not at my computer, but I've run into an issue when it comes to my images. When I go to use the magic wand on the background, it doesn't select what I want it to, it makes these weird circles around the image, like it isn't even there or something, it does the same thing to a layer instead of selecting the whole thing. It even selects outside the picture.

I have looked and looked for a troubleshooting guide to fix this, but I have run into walls, if anyone can help with this issue, I would be grateful.

Curious what browser/version you are using when you see this? Is this a new issue or has this been happening to you for a long time?

Would it be possible to share some screenshots of your desktop in Ps on web and what you are seeing? That could help the team to see what might be happening.
