Making image resolution higher

Hi, so i noticed that i can't set my image resolution to 300 ppi, is there a way this can be fixed?

    Further to what Kevin is telling you, resolution is basically about what size the image will print.  If you use Image Size and have Resample checked, then resolution is a way of setting the pixel size of the image.  That's the important factor.

     

    So are you trying to resize an image?  And if yes, are you trying to up-res the image, and if yes, by how much?

      How are you trying to set your resolution? This isn't a normal issue.
