My Photoshop Beta has the Generative Fill function visible but is disabled, what can it be?

the function appears but I can not access, when I hover the mouse on top appears that is not available at the moment

Don't you have to make a selection first?

You always have to tell a computer what to do (c.q., fill) — only the new Removal Tool can read your mind 😉

Experiencing the same Problem here. Even with a selection active (e.g. the Hair of a Person) the generative Retouch field apperas but is deactivated. I can not put the cursor there nor type anything into the field.
